Great Mac Finds: Fine tune your volume

Sometimes you come across a tip that makes you go “Yes! Thank you. I needed that.” (Hopefully that’s what tech4eleven.com brings you regularly.)

Today a tip came across my RSS feeds from OSXDaily.com on how to fine tune your Mac’s volume. In one sentence, they write:

“You can precisely adjust the volume levels on a Mac by holding down the Shift+Option keys while pressing the Volume Up/Down keys, which lets you adjust the sound level by 1/4 of each notch (as opposed to a full notch).”

This is an awesome trick! I also use shift with volume control allot… holding shift while adjusting volume silences the “blip blip blip blip” Nice for when presenting slide-shows and not wanting to kill the mood.
